what the…

I got the sewing machine outta the box.  I got it plugged in. I bought thread from WalMart.  I got the bobbin wound.  I got the machine half way thread … and now I’m stuck. Could there seriously be just a few more places to wind a tiny thin little string through? But I guess that using this machine will be easier than hand sewing, so a few minutes (hours) of frustration in the beginning isn’t too bad.  Sigh.

Anyone have any advice??

  1. I had the same problem when I first got my sewing machine too. so just letting you know you are not the only only one. And it is worth the fuss in the beginning.

  2. Jen, if you ever have any sewing guestions my sister, Regina, is great at helping with that kind of stuff. She really got into sewing when she was in High School and won some awards for stuff that she did.

  3. “Could there seriously be just a few more places to wind a tiny thin little string through?”…. seriously! sheesh, I had to do it @ least 5 times before I could do it without asking Brian, “wait… what’s the next step?”

  4. It’s kind of hard to see in the picture, but I think I can see where you went wrong. Maybe someday I could show you what I know. It’s not really somethin you can be told how to do. You have to see it. Or at least I did. Look at you suziehomemaker!
